well, when i go on holiday, sometimes they think i'm a troublemaker and swearing or something.
not particularly, some people make fun of our accent, but it's the same wherever you come from. for example, scouse people may from time to time try to imitate dialects such as scottish or mancunian, but it's all in good fun, really.
while working in the south of the uk, southerners do not trust northerners, and i have never personally had any problems, but i have been with friends who have and were refused service in shops, watched while in shops, talked down to, etc.
