i don't think there is a scouse music style; i don't see how you can take, say, the beatles and the wombats, for example, and draw any common traits based on where they're from.
not sure everyone likes different music, so not sure.
sick!!! :]
there is no scouse music, just music that we find awesome.
don't know.
don't understand the question.
scouse house
alright
dance/rnb
roots to the irish obviously
i don't know... most people from liverpool listen to the charts and like, lady gaga lol.
dance music and mcing
musical
these days, i would say a mixture of musical styles can be heard in liverpool. obviously, in the past, the beatles' music was very popular and it still gets played in liverpool. the younger kids tend to like dance music, but even they still seem to know the words to beatles songs as they are played in the town center all the time for tourists, etc. plus, we have the matthew street festival that features a lot of liverpool bands playing over the weekend. (if you google matthew street festival liverpool, you should be able to get more information on this festival; it's held yearly in liverpool.)
diverse
beatles are different from echo and the bunnymen, different from real thing, etc. no real defined 'style'.
hideous scouse house music and the early 2000s rock bands, not too sure on much else. haven't been there for too long.
eclectic
awful lol
whatever music we like individually
beatles
i suppose most successful bands from liverpool are influenced in some way by the beatles.
lively, erratic, enjoyable, enthusiastic. party attitude, show the love for their fellow man!
jingly jangly
indie liverpool bands... la's... shack... beatles.
i'd say it varies, like many other cities. maybe indie pop.
good, the beatles for instance rock!
dance, funky, beatles
non-existent
i have no idea.
just listen
it's very diverse; there isn't just one type of music you could label as scouse. in liverpool, there is a big indie scene and a big dance scene. you have indie bands such as the zutons and great djs, and scouse house is very popular, along with hardcore dance music.
i don't know.
eclectic
i don't identify with scouse music, except "scouse house," which is a type of rave music.
varies, mainly rock/dance
guitar-oriented rhythm and blues with a touch of folk. (i'm not a fan of scouse house...)
evolving
boss
there isn't really a style.
fast, flirty and fun
based along the beatles
a lot of indie and scouse
house
rap
unique
i'm not sure ... there's loads.
i don't think there is a particular style, just a range of different types.
the best
do you mean bands from liverpool? indie, merseybeat, pop, all sorts.
very lively but i think it's due to irish heritage
great
there isn't one? scouse house is a joke.
scouse house is amazing and the pleasure rooms are decent.
scouse house, mc1 in, fast, loud and lots of bass.
dance music
a mixture it is unfair to stereotype
original and good
rap, r&b
individual
is there one?!
retro and very much like the beatles
unique
emotional, true, let it out
mostly directed towards rap and mc'ing over the years. derived from pop music such as the beatles in the past...
it's like any other city! mixed and all ages have their preferences; the students do have a big influence on things, though, because they bring with them ideas and styles from home and mix in with here, so it grows as people will always copy each other!
