i love "lol," "dunno," "ik," etc. they serve us well. nowadays, life has been speeded up, and such contractions really may make your life a bit easier. well, that's what i think. at the same time, i don't overwhelm my conversations with shortened phrases or words like these. it just goes with the flow, i guess.
lol
because it's the most common slang word.
if i speak english, i usually don’t use slang; maybe if i write a text message, i use "u" instead of "you."
idk,
uni - university
other shortened words are in lithuanian:
bsk - a little (slang - biškį) - not much
snd - today
db - now
i use it because it is shorter.
for example, lol, because it's also considered ironic if i say it.
cringe, slay, laugh out loud, for you
m8, because it stuck with me during conversations with foreign people.
lol, omg, idk, idc, omw. i use them because they are widely used and comfortable to use in conversations.
i don’t use slang words.
i use them only with my friends. i have never used them in a formal environment or speech. for example: tea - as in gossip, slay, omg, idk, af, etc.
english is not my native language, so sometimes i use words derived from english to explain a phenomenon that does not have a clear equivalent in my language.
lol, omg
i don't use all of them on a regular basis, only the most common ones.
sometimes i do cut the talk by saying "make sense" or "cut the crap."
l8 (late), l8r (later), b4 (before), 4 (for), 2 (too) .. i usually use slang, phrases, or shortened words with numbers in messages to my friends. it's because it's easier to type.
i just use oki for okay as a shortened word because i just like this word.
lol - when something/someone surprises me positively
wth - when something/someone surprises me negatively
wtf - same as before
dunno - easier typing than "don't know"
u - easier than you
i use these words in informal context only, verbal or written (texting).
i usually do not use any of them except on some rare occasions.
"i don't know," "you too" to type faster.
lol, lmao, lmfao - easily conveys laughter
idk - no sé.
omg - es más rápido.
i use popular slang words that make it easier and faster to speak:) like omg, lmao, idk, ily, wby, k, omw, idek, idc, etc.
shortened phrases: lol, lmao, idk, btw, omg, cuz, rn, ofc, af. i use them especially in texting, since it's easier to type.
filler word: bro.
slang: cringe, based, mid, rizz, to ghost. i use them as synonyms to existing words. also, using these words creates a feeling of connection and belonging to the current modern generation (teenagers, young adults).
for you, to you, thank you so much, i don't give a f***, i don't know, in my humble opinion
because it's faster and easier to type
"wbu" - "what about you"
"hbu" - "how about you"
mostly technical slang, as it is heavily used in the work process.
y’all - because english doesn’t have a proper plural form of “you”
‘cause - because it’s easier
