lol, omg, idk, idc, omw. i use them because they are widely used and comfortable to use in conversations.
i don’t use slang words.
i use them only with my friends. i have never used them in a formal environment or speech. for example: tea - as in gossip, slay, omg, idk, af, etc.
english is not my native language, so sometimes i use words derived from english to explain a phenomenon that does not have a clear equivalent in my language.

i don't use all of them on a regular basis, only the most common ones.
sometimes i do cut the talk by saying "make sense" or "cut the crap."
l8 (late), l8r (later), b4 (before), 4 (for), 2 (too) .. i usually use slang, phrases, or shortened words with numbers in messages to my friends. it's because it's easier to type.
