Advancing discussion on Africa's role in Global Health

2012 marked a new beginning for the Centre for Health Policy and Innovation in its new approach to health research by embarking on an innovative solution that allows cooperation and development of health research in Africa to be expanded through the establishment of 'Global Front hubs'. In the establishment of these hubs, the initiative is able to work closely with leading experts from various sectors in Africa to develop new innovative solutions that lead to long-term policy change aimed at improving research outcomes and stronger leadership within various leading health institutions in Africa.

Under the direction of a chair from an industrial country with expertise and a vision, and a chair from a leading African research institute, the Global Health and Africa initiative is implementing five pillars which will guide the initiative's work.
