Cyprus Market Research: Prepared Diet Meal Plan Delivery Services - Customer Survey
Hello, I am a Master's degree student of Business Administration at the Frederick University’s Conventional MBA program and I am preparing my final thesis, which is a requirement for the fulfilment of the studies for the Masters’ degree. The aim of my thesis is to carry out market research for a new product/service for the Cyprus market.
The service or product is often referred to as "Prepared Diet Meal Plan Subscription Service" or "Prepared Diet Meal Plan Delivery Service", though there is no officially approved name yet, for the sake of this research we will use the first name and its acronym of PDMPSS.
PDMPSS is a relatively new niche service of the Food preparation and delivery industry. Usually promoted as "Healthy eating weekly plans", Weekdays Meals delivery service", "Warm and eat weekly meal plans"," Low calorie prepared meals" and others.
A brief description of such company offerings is: provide a solution to the people who do not want to cook or cannot afford the time to source or prepare ingredients, by presenting their potential clients with diet weekly plans of different cuisines and food preferences to choose from, for their weekly full day meals, which are same day prepared and packed along with fresh salads and veggies, and delivered every day fresh to the clients’ locations. Each day delivery is comprised of a breakfast, lunch and dinner meals, with optional snacks for in-between if needed. Each day’s meals are calorie tailored to the clients’ requirements, depending on their weight goals of either lose, maintain or gain weight, for dieting, health, fitness, sporty or busy modern lifestyle. These meals are usually promoted and composed of well balanced and healthy nutritious menus. The menus are suitable for ages from 15 to 65+ years old and can be tailored even for kids and elderly people. The diet plans can help people transition from bad eating habits to healthy eating lifestyle as they are composed with fresh produce, meats and grains and are correctly proportioned. There is no recipe reading, portion guessing or overeating, cooking or kitchen cleaning, just ready to eat healthy meals. Meals are packed in recyclable, recycled or compostable packaging. Daily meals’ package delivery is arranged either for morning, noon or evening to suit customers’ schedule. Also by purchasing this service, individuals and families reduce their carbon footprint as their visits to stores and supermarkets are greatly reduced.
With this questionnaire I am trying to find out, the potential and current customers profile, preferences, needs and demands. Also, the size and long-term viability of the potential market and the customers’ product awareness.
