Motorcycle classification questionnaire

This poll is about different classifications for types of motorcycles.

There are no right or wrong answers.

Please, read definitions before beginning the poll.

DEFINITIONS:

-TOURING  

1. traveling around from place to place.

2. a long journey including the visiting of a number of places in sequence, especially with an organized group led by a guide.

3. a brief trip through a place, as a building or a site, in order to view or inspect it:

  The visiting prime minister was given a tour of the chemical plant.

Requires the capability to ride for long distances and carry all required gear on the bike. Typically on paved and good condition gravel roads.

-ADVENTURE

1. an exciting or very unusual experience.

2 .participation in exciting undertakings or enterprises:

  the spirit of adventure.

3. a bold, usually risky undertaking; hazardous action of uncertain outcome.

Requires the capability to venture off the beaten path as well as carry all required gear on the bike.

-ADVENTURE TOURING

1. Includes the capability to travel for long distances as well as capability to ride off-road.

-ENDURO

1. for motor vehicles, motorcycles, or bicycles, typically over rough terrain, designed to test endurance. Usually carrying minimal gear

-DUALSPORT

1. Motorcycle designed to be capable of rides consisting of on- or off-road terrain.
