idk, uni - university other shortened words are in lithuanian: bsk - a little (slang - biškį) - not much snd - today db - now i use it because it is shorter.

i use them only with my friends. i have never used them in a formal environment or speech. for example: tea - as in gossip, slay, omg, idk, af, etc.

english is not my native language, so sometimes i use words derived from english to explain a phenomenon that does not have a clear equivalent in my language.

i don't know why, but american states sometimes just invent new shortened words by removing a character. for me, it's better, easier, and faster.

if i speak english, i usually don’t use slang; maybe if i write a text message, i use "u" instead of "you."

i love "lol," "dunno," "ik," etc. they serve us well. nowadays, life has been speeded up, and such contractions really may make your life a bit easier. well, that's what i think. at the same time, i don't overwhelm my conversations with shortened phrases or words like these. it just goes with the flow, i guess.
