OPEN READINGS 2011 conference feedback questionnaire

Please indicate the most significant shortcomings of conference organization

  1. no organized (prepared) coffee-breaks during oral sessions; accommodation for participants in many different (at least 3) dormitories, far away from each other;
  2. I think there was no major shortcomings.
  3. The dates of the conference as posted on the webpage were misleading at one point.
  4. accomodation conference party lack of dinners for participants
  5. -
  6. Poster presentations seemed like a mess with respect to relevant fields. Two nearby posters can be so differrent in field of study that it's hard to navigate. I think they should be split into certain groups. Participants themselves could register in groups as at least from Vilnius university we mostly know each other anyway. It's hard to leave one's poster however, you do wish to see other presentations too. So grouping them would be the simplest thing to do. One could have an eye on his poster while attending another.
  7. not enough oral presentations. Maybe, a sparse schedule
  8. #1 A number of presentations were based on texbook stuff with no significant follow-up original results (OP-22, for example).
  9. Can't think of anything.
